| Hello people. I am a tango dancer and a tango teacher for 4 yaers. I have done many things such as organizing tango show for my group with a help of my teacher. But I have a question, does anyone know how to invite a wellknown couple or a dance company from Argentina or from any other European countries to come to my country to do some seminars or a performence and seminars after. which is a logical procidure to make it happen. Please let me know on my email. My name is Nataly and I need some good information please help. Always tango. |

The question you have to ask yourself is, why do I want to do this?
Is it for the community in which you live? Is it to enhance your "group" or teaching image? If this is the case, one would find themselves doing nobody a favor, not even themselves. What is the total tango "population" in your city or surrounding cities? Do you have good rapport within your community? Have you established a good relationship with the other cities?
The reason I ask these questions is because in order to "sponsor" a teacher from another country, it would be a financial disaster if you don't get the right amount of people to attend. These people need to get compensated for plane tickets, room and board, incidentals, and their time and expertise.
As far as who to ask, and how to ask...
Is there a particular couple/teacher you had in mind? Did you want to get someone who frequently tours? Or someone fabulous and relatively unknown outside of his/her domain. (the hardest option)
Call those who regularly tour and ask questions, most often this will answer many of your questions or give you a start of where you need to go next.
